He is just 19 years old. He hasn’t yet appeared for his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination. Yet, Mohammad Hasib has already taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dainik Swodesher Kontho, a national daily newspaper in Bangladesh. This extraordinary achievement at such a young age has established him as a rising figure in the country’s media industry.
Hasib began his journalism journey in mid-2024 as a field reporter for Narsingdi TV, a district-based online news platform. From the very beginning, his socially conscious and ground-based reporting attracted attention.
Notably, he gained widespread recognition through the popular travel and documentary-based program “Narsingdir Pothe O Prantore”, where he showcased unique places, people, and untold stories from across the Narsingdi district. His work brought a new dimension to local journalism.
Recognizing his leadership qualities and growing experience, Hasib was soon appointed as the CEO of Dainik Swodesher Kontho. The newspaper is now working to bring regional stories to the national spotlight while creating opportunities for young journalists across the country.
